A Ukrainian infrastructure official warned on Friday that intensified Russian strikes on bridges and energy systems could make the coming winter especially difficult. “With U.S. limiting the use of Starlinks on the battlefield, Russia feels that this is their moment to try and inflict even more pain and suffering on Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure,” Serhiy Derkach, Ukraine’s first deputy minister for recovery, infrastructure and transport, told CNBC. It comes as tensions between the U.S. and Ukraine have flared up after the Starlink service was reported to be restricted in Ukraine earlier this week.
