Letters for Oct. 26: Citizens United decision affects politicians’ votes

Wonder why today’s politicians vote 100% along party lines? Answer: the 2010 Supreme Court ruling in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission. This decision has allowed unregulated huge amounts of monies from companies and individuals to be funneled into super PACs, resulting in politicians receiving millions in campaign contributions (and not have to spend hundreds of hours asking constituents for support) if they vote the way the corporations tell them. These ads are not regulated, so they can say whatever their well-paid advisers tell them are the hot-button issues, many of which are not true or are largely distorted.
