EXCLUSIVE: London-based SC Films International has struck a slew of international deals on animated family-adventure Cloud Girl (previously known as Girl in the Clouds).
The feature from French writer-director Philippe Riche was inspired by Romain Puértolas’ 2015 novel The Little Girl Who Swallowed a Cloud as Big as the Eiffel Tower and screened as an Official Selection of the 2026 Annecy International Animation Film Festival.
Viva Pictures will release the film in U.S. cinemas on January 8, 2027. Pan Distribution has taken rights for France, Pathé Films for French-Speaking Switzerland and O’Brother for Benelux.
