Keith Gaskin: Faith, politics and the trap of moral disqualification

Scroll through social media during any campaign season, and you won’t just see debates over tax rates, health care or foreign policy. You will see sweeping verdicts on souls. Commentators and everyday partisans routinely write off entire political parties as either the “only true home for Christians” or fundamentally “anti-Christian.”  It is an exhausting dynamic, but more than that, it is dangerous.
