Buena Vista Social Club, the Tony-winning musical inspired by the legendary Cuban artists that give the show its title, will close on Broadway January 17, 2027, after a 96-week, 767-performance run.

Producers announced the closing date today. Although the production has not recouped its reported $17 million investment, they say it is “on schedule” to do so.

The musical, which began previews on February 21, 2025, at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre, opened March 19 of that year to good reviews and consistently strong box office, features a book by Marco Ramirez, direction by Saheem Ali, choreography by Patricia Delgado
