Zoo Atlanta welcomes a clouded leopard named Boon

Boon is not yet visible to visitors. She will spend about a month behind the scenes completing a routine quarantine.

ATLANTA — Zoo Atlanta has a new resident with remarkable climbing skills.

The zoo announced that Boon, an 8-year-old female clouded leopard, arrived on April 14, 2026, from Nashville Zoo at Grassmere. Her move was recommended by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums Species Survival Plan, a program that helps manage and protect animal populations in accredited zoos.
