Geoffrey Matthews is accused of sexually assaulting a friend’s son, marking an escalation from earlier grooming cases involving teen boys, authorities say.
CARROLL COUNTY, Ga. — A former Bremen High School coach already accused of grooming teen boys in Haralson County is now facing nearly 40 additional charges in a separate case in neighboring Carroll County.
The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office said their case involved sexual contact between Geoffrey Matthews and the victim but pointed out there is no connection to the school system.
