‘The Book Of Mormon’ Cancels Broadway Performances Through May 17 Due To Fire

Producers of Broadway‘s The Book of Mormon and venue owner ATG Entertainment have canceled performances of the hit musical comedy through Sunday, May 17, due to the May 4 fire at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre.

In a joint statement released Wednesday night, the producers and ATG said that the exact cause of the three-alarm fire remains unknown.

ATG Entertainment and The Book of Mormon are expected to provide an update next week regarding the show’s upcoming schedule. According to the statement, performances “are anticipated to resume at the Eugene O’Neill in the coming weeks.
