Indiana police sergeant rescues 2 people trapped in car filling with water

Seeing that no sheriff’s deputies were close to the incident, Sgt. Gabe Jordan responded to the call for a water rescue near Cypress Lake.

JACKSON COUNTY, Indiana — A Seymour Police Department sergeant is being credited with rescuing two people trapped inside a car filling with water on Thursday.

On May 7, Sgt. Gabe Jordan overheard the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department dispatched to a water rescue near Cypress Lake, around five miles north of downtown Seymour, where a car had reportedly run off the road and was quickly filling with water.
