ATHENS, Ga. — Athens-Clarke County Police is investigating a Mother’s Day shooting that left a woman dead Sunday afternoon at an apartment complex in Athens.
Police said officers responded around 1:20 p.m. to the Chateau Terrace complex after receiving reports of a woman who had been shot.
Police identified the victim as 34-year-old Latisha Andrews of Athens. She died at the scene from her injuries, according to police.
