PICKENS COUNTY, Ga. — Deputies in Pickens County euthanized a severely injured black bear on Tuesday morning after the animal was struck by a vehicle near Highway 108 and Eaton Road, according to the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were dispatched to the area around 7:15 a.m. after receiving reports of a bear that had been hit by a vehicle.
