ROCKDALE COUNTY, Ga. — Rockdale County decided to extend a pause on new data center projects.

The moratorium temporarily suspends the acceptance and approval of applications for data centers and battery energy storage systems until Sept. 8.

Rockdale County officials said the moratorium will allow them more time to review policies, zoning considerations, infrastructure needs, and potential community impacts.
