DeKalb Co. Fire Rescue said 72 people were displaced by the fire one week ago.

CHAMBLEE, Ga. — Businesses remain closed, and families without a home, one week after a massive fire ripped through the roof of an apartment building in DeKalb County.

The Mother’s Day fire at Windsor Parkview Apartments in Chamblee forced 72 people out of their homes.

One of those people is Brenae Combs. She rushed to get out of the building on an injured leg with her 6-year-old son.
