Georgia’s key races head to runoffs as top Republicans face off in governor and Senate primaries.
ATLANTA — Democrats at the top of the ticket in Georgia must wait to learn their opponent in November’s election as Republican candidates for governor and U.S. Senate were forced into a runoff after Tuesday’s primary.
Georgia requires a candidate to get 50% plus one vote to avoid a runoff. Voters must select the same party ballot for the runoff as they did on May 19.
