DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — DeKalb County District Attorney Sherry Boston has filed a lawsuit against a new Georgia law making most local elections in five metro Atlanta counties nonpartisan.
DA Boston was joined by other metro Atlanta DAs, who vocally opposed the law before it was signed by Governor Brian Kemp, in a press conference Wednesday.
“This statute is clearly unconstitutional and we believe it will be struck down,” she said.
