Kavinsky Dies: French DJ Whose ‘Nightcall’ Track Opened Nicolas Winding Refn’s ‘Drive’ Was 50

French DJ Kavinsky, who was best known internationally for his ‘Nightcall’ track which opened Nicolas Winding Refn’s 2011 film Drive,  has died at the age of 50.

French media reported that the music artist, producer and DJ was found dead at his home in Paris on Tuesday evening (July 28).

The Paris Prosecutors Office said in a statement said that an investigation had been opened into the cause of his death, noting that “first responders found no suspicious elements at the scene”.
