Michael J. Fox To Receive TV Academy’s Bob Hope Humanitarian Award At This Year’s Emmys

The Television Academy said Wednesday that Michael J. Fox, a five-time Emmy winner and nominated for the 19th time this year for his guest role in Apple TV’s Shrinking, will receive the organization’s Bob Hope Humanitarian Award.

The honor, given annually to an individual in the TV industry “whose humanitarian efforts have brought credit to the industry and whose deeds and actions have had a lasting impact on society,” per the Academy, will be bestowed September 14 during the Primetime Emmy Awards.
