CHICAGO (WLS) — An active investigation could be seen at a funeral home Thursday evening on the city’s Southeast Side after officials said dozens of decomposing bodies were found there.
The scene was at South Chicago Chapel funeral home in the 2900 block of East 95th Street.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office said its investigation “found more than 50 decedents in various states of decomposition.”
The Medical Examiner’s Office says teams are now working to identify the deceased and review records, including death certificates.
