PENSACOLA, Fla. — A state grand jury says the DeSantis administration misappropriated $10 million from a Medicaid settlement into the Hope Florida Foundation in 2025.
The grand jury report says unequivocally that the money transfer was “part of a political scheme to fund political activities.”

The sealed report was just obtained by CBS News in Miami. But it is stamped Jan. 26, 2026, by the Leon County Clerk of Court’s Office. It has been kept out of the public sight since then.
The allegations of fraud and abuse were first made by state Representative Alex Andrade of Pensacola.
