Two progressive candidates, Beau Hawk and Amelia Parker, announced they are running for Knoxville mayor in 2027.Parker is a two-term city councilmember, while Hawk is a labor organizer who recently ran for Knox County mayor.Both candidates have emphasized progressive priorities, including affordable housing and workers’ rights.A third candidate, mortgage banker Jeff Talman, has also announced plans to run for mayor.
