EXCLUSIVE: Peacock has canceled the Miami-set crime-drama series M.I.A. after one season. The series, from creator, writer, and executive producer Bill Dubuque, premiered on May 7 with all 9 hour-long episodes.
Following the show’s premiere, there was a lot of buzz around M.I.A. It received an extra push from NBC with a special airing on the network on May 14. In a unique move, M.I.A. was one of the few shows that was set in Miami and was also shot there. Details regarding the reason for the cancellation are unknown.
