After earning two Emmy nominations this year, Matthew Rhys is potentially in line for a double win after he took home the Emmy for best actor in a limited series Monday for Netflix’s The Beast in Me.
He gave all the credit to the creators and Emmy-nominated co-star for getting him this win.
“This is a real shock,” said a stunned Rhys onstage. “We had a beautiful holy trinity of scribes, in the glorious form of Daniel Pearl, Gabe Rotter and Howard Gordon, who really brought out the beast in all of us.”
