For a country separated from Israel by more than 11,000 kilometers, Paraguay has proved an unusually close friend over the Jewish state’s history.
While governments across the world have spent the past three years disassociating themselves from Israel’s war against Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran, the South American nation has taken a different course, restoring its embassy to Israel’s capital, deepening security cooperation, and defending the Jewish state’s right to protect itself.
