Polish President Karol Nawrocki held consultations with political representatives on Saturday amid a dispute over the country’s Constitutional Court that erupted following moves by the government to change its composition.
The first to arrive at the Presidential Palace was Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, the leader of the Christian-conservative Polish People’s Party, part of Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s governing coalition.
“State security, respect for democracy, social peace and public order are fundamental values,” Kosiniak-Kamysz posted on X before the meeting. He said these would be the issues he intended to discuss with the president.
