‘Move ma’am’: Man jumps through car window, pushes woman over in violent carjacking; stolen car found abandoned at Atlanta elementary school

The stolen car was found abandoned at Cascade Elementary before suspect was taken into custody in nearby neighborhood.

EAST POINT, Ga. — A man is in custody after a violent daytime carjacking at a shopping center in East Point that led officers to a nearby elementary school where the stolen vehicle was later found abandoned.

According to the East Point Police Department, officers responded around 2:55 p.m. Wednesday to a reported hijacking in the parking lot of a Family Dollar at 2925 Headland Drive.
