JASPER COUNTY, Ga. — A pedestrian was hit by a Jasper County deputy on Tuesday, according to authorities.
The Jaskper County Sheriff’s Office said the patrol vehicle hit the person on the Monticello Square. The deputy stopped, provided aid and remained on scene, the department said.
Georgia State Patrol will investigate the accident and the sheriff’s office also plans to conduct an internal review of the deputy’s actions.
