Opinion | The doctor who chose science over politics

This particular graduation marked an end of the medical education of someone I am happily related to. The tent holding hundreds was vast. My personal suspicion is that the same enormous tent is toted back and forth across the country, erected for every ceremony, deconstructed, and then, on weekends, toted from galaxy to galaxy for graduations there.

Strolling around the perimeter afterward in search of my lost family member (it’s not a successful event unless you’ve lost sight of the person you’ve come to see), it was impossible to avoid all the joyful photography. I passed
